Jason and Whitney are the sweetest couple! They are always smiling and they beam with love for one another and their little man. We have been friends for a long time and have had the pleasure of seeing our sons become good friends too. I was so excited when Whitney told me she would like to do their family portraits downtown! Historic Downtown Wilmington is an absolutely beautiful place for a family portrait session yet many people seem to overlook it. Especially if you’re a Wilmington NC local Downtown is the perfect place to capture family memories that show the great character of home. The backdrop variety is almost limitless- from buildings with beautiful historic architecture and aged brick walls covered in ivy, to cobblestone streets lined with colorful storefronts- there is so much opportunity to capture beautiful photos that have a great deal of depth and interest. With so many business’ in the area the opportunity is presented to add a little kick to your family portrait session- the Buchkoskis chose to pop into Kilwin’s Ice Cream and grab a cone of Superman ice cream and it was the sweetest, and probably most delicious prop… you gotta feed the models 😉 I hope you enjoy our Downtown Wilmington family portrait adventure! <3
